Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Clify browser extension (“the extension”) and the website clifyapp.xyz (“the Site”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension or the Site.

1. Description of service

Clify is a free, open-source browser extension that enhances the YouTube experience by blocking ads, removing Shorts, skipping sponsored segments, and providing additional focus tools. The Site provides information, documentation, and download links for the extension.

2. Eligibility

The extension and Site are available to users of all ages. However, if you are under 13, you should not use any features that require sign-in or cloud sync.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Clify only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the extension to violate YouTube’s Terms of Service or any applicable law.
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the extension without authorization.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the compiled extension (source code is already available on GitHub under the MIT license).
• Use the extension or Site to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.

4. Intellectual property

The extension is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it in accordance with that license. The Clify name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Dipto Design Studio and may not be used without permission.

5. Cloud sync

Cloud sync is optional. When enabled, your settings are end-to-end encrypted and stored on our servers. We cannot read your data. You may disable cloud sync at any time from the extension dashboard. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Third-party services

Clify interacts with YouTube in your browser. Your use of YouTube remains subject to Google’s Terms of Service. Clify also links to third-party services (GitHub, Mozilla Add-ons, Product Hunt). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The extension and Site are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every browser or YouTube update.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dipto Design Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the extension or Site. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (which, for a free product, is zero).

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes will be announced on the Site or in the extension. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may restrict or terminate access to the Site or cloud services at our discretion, with or without notice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
